The plan for the Bay Shore Bikeway started back in 1989 when the city of San Diego established the Bay Shore Bikeway-Working Group. This bike trail is a great place to go out biking or cycling whenever you want to experience the beautiful California coastline and memories of a classic ride that keeps you close to the shore in San Diego.
Ride the Bayshore Bikeway: 24-Mile Bike Route in San Diego
Bayshore Bikeway is a 24-mile bike trail that lies close to the Bay Shore. The 24-mile cycling circuit offers 13 miles of car-free paved path. The path is mostly flat, but long and vigorous especially if there is a headwind. And even though there are many cafes along the trail, you will want to bring water.
This remainder of this long, palm tree-lined trail includes on-street, bike designated cycling lanes and routes that give you stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and easy access to various parks, restaurants, and cafés. If you do not have a bike, there are several bike shops where you can rent one.
The trail itself takes cyclists from the Coronado Ferry Landing shops and restaurants down to Broadway Pier. Along the trail, cyclists can ride past chic restaurants, cafes, brewing companies, and the Coronado Golf Course while taking in the stunning views of Downtown San Diego.
Make your way to the pathway with your bike and enjoy your ride down the Bay Shore bikeway.
